Last Wednesday just as we arrived for school, snow began to fall. At first it was a light snow, but soon enough the snow turned into huge flakes that dotted the sky. Later, schools began to send students home early. As every other school around Lancaster let their students out, we, the students at The New School of Lancaster sat inside and watched the snow fall. I think that it was unfair that our school did not let us out of school that day. It was also dangerous.
I think that our school should take snowy days more seriously because snow and ice can lead to slippery roads. It becomes very hard to drive in the snow and ice and this can lead to traffic accidents. This is another reason to take snowy days more seriously.
When the threat of snow comes, we need to get off from school before it becomes dangerous.
